Welcome to MardiPay. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the MardiPay application.
1. Information We Collect
MardiPay is designed to collect only the minimum amount of information necessary to provide our services.
- Account Information: To facilitate transactions and social features like split expenses, we collect your connected wallet address and any public usernames or identifiers you choose to set.
- Transaction Metadata: When you use MardiPay to send, request, or split payments, we collect necessary transaction details including the amount, token type (e.g., USDC, PYUSD), timestamp, and recipient identifiers.
- Usage Data: We collect non-sensitive analytics and diagnostic data about how you interact with our application. This helps us identify bugs, monitor app performance, and improve the user experience.
What We Do Not Collect: We do not collect, store, or have any access to your private keys, seed phrases, or sensitive financial information. You retain full control and self-custody over your wallet at all times.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information strictly for the following purposes:
- Providing the Service: To process your requests, display your transaction history, and enable features like split expenses and contacts.
- Improving the Product: To analyze usage trends, fix technical issues, and enhance the overall experience of the MardiPay platform.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We may share necessary technical data with trusted infrastructure providers (such as blockchain RPC nodes and analytics services) solely to operate and route your requests.
- Public Blockchain: By the nature of blockchain technology, your wallet address, transaction amounts, and timestamps are permanently and publicly recorded on the Solana network. MardiPay has no control over this public data.
4. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the data we do collect from unauthorized access. However, no digital system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
5. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for keeping your wallet, private keys, and devices secure. You are also responsible for verifying the accuracy of recipient usernames and wallet addresses before initiating any transaction.
